🌿 What’s the difference between Grief Support and Life Coaching?

Both grief coaching and life coaching offer support, presence, and forward movement—but they begin in different places, with different intentions. Many of my clients start with grief support, and when the time feels right, move gently into life coaching. Others begin with life coaching after a major life pivot, even if grief is still present. Here’s how the two differ—and how they can complement one another.

💫 Grief Support Coaching

A space to process loss, not push past it.

Grief coaching is not about fixing you or pushing you to move on. It’s about creating space for your pain, helping you name and navigate your losses, and gently finding your footing again.

This work supports you in:

  • Feeling seen, heard, and validated in your grief

  • Honoring who or what you’ve lost

  • Making meaning from your experience

  • Holding your emotions with compassion

  • Learning to live alongside your grief—not in spite of it

There are no action plans or goals here.

Just space. Just presence. Just a guide who walks with you.

🌱 Life Coaching for Purpose

A space to imagine and create what’s next.

Life coaching is more future-focused and goal-oriented. It’s for those who feel ready to explore what comes after the loss, after the upheaval, or in the midst of change. This isn’t about “getting back to normal”—it’s about creating a new version of life that feels aligned with who you are now.

This work supports you in:

  • Clarifying your values, purpose, or identity

  • Setting goals with intention and clarity

  • Gaining momentum around a new chapter

  • Moving from stuckness to empowered choice

  • Navigating change with more peace and self-trust

We’ll explore tools, strategies, and steps that help you take action with meaning.

🌀 You Don’t Have to Choose Now

You don’t need to know where you fit right away. If you're grieving, we’ll begin with care and stillness. If you’re ready to look forward, we’ll begin with clarity and action. If you’re somewhere in between—we’ll walk at your pace.

Wherever you are, you are welcome and you don’t have to go it alone.
